YOU have both the choice of freedom to use your own preferred suppliers and the power to ensure you get the best value for money without compromising on the quality of your service. This has recently been re-iterated by the new government.

School Broadband will act on your behalf to work with your current supplier and ensure that there is no loss of service during the transition. You will still have access to every application you require from the Local Authority, such as SIMS or CMIS exportation. Even if you use another supplier, the Local Authority / Regional Broadband supplier is under a duty of care to ensure that your school has access to any services that only the Local Authority supply as these are vital to your school. The Local Authority are bound by law not to discriminate between an Local Authority Internet connection and one supplied by an alternative provider.
